Founded in 1989 by Joseph Daniel Dantus (Master Black Belt 5th Dan), the Île Bizard Taekwondo Club is a non-profit organization that does not aim to make a profit or quickly raise students' rankings, but rather seeks to encourage students to commit, grow, and perform within the spirit of Olympic Taekwondo.
As a registered non-profit organization, structured and affiliated with the Quebec and Canadian Taekwondo Federations, governed by Sport Québec in partnership with the City of Montreal / Sports and Recreation of the Île-Bizard / Sainte-Geneviève borough, the philosophy of the Île Bizard Taekwondo Club focuses on promoting technique, perseverance, and effort rather than belt ranking.
